Taylor

Taylor Swift may be the most unique of pop artists: one who could effectively bridge the gap between pop and country while sweeping the globe. Swift left country music like it was another layer and proved that she's perhaps the best pop-singer/songwriter in her generation. Someone who is able to harness the mood of times to make her music personal, and perform in the opposite. Her talents are evident in some of the first songs she released, most notably the Neodue Tim McGraw. But on the second album Fearless which came out in 2008, Swift could identify her true identity and gain a wide audience. Fearless became a massive success not only in the United States with six singles were certified platinum on the back of Top Ten hit songs Love Story and Belong with Me. But it also performed well around the globe. Swift's second album Speak Now, released nearly two years following the previous one, built on this success. It propelled Swift to superstardom. The singer's popularity increased through her subsequent three albums: Red (2012) 1989 (2014) and Reputation (2017). Swift became a household name within the genre she was a part of. She stayed in the forefront of pop until she reverted to her own style on her sister albums folklore & Evermore in 2020.
