Sheryl Underwood is an American actress as well as a comedian and TV host most well-known for her work as the Talk's co-host for daytime. Sheryl was born in Little Rock and grew up in Little Rock. Sheryl comes from a family with a number of problems. Sheryl was a part of her life taking care of her sister Frankie as she was a victim of polio. Growing up, she had an uneasy relationship between her parents. Sheryl stated that at one moment her mother hit the father of her child as she got close to the father. At the time of her college graduation, Sheryl joined the military. Sheryl's interest in comedy was more pronounced. She started her TV career in 1992 after she made a cameo appearance as a frequent performer during the HBO comedy program Def Comedy Jam. She hosted the television show Oh Drama! in 2000. Since 2011, she's been being a co-host for the talk show The Talk. She's appeared in fictitious programs such as Bulworth Nikki, Beauty Shop and others.
