Kelly Clarkson is an American musician and singer who was the country's love interest when she won the American Idol title in the premiere season. This win catapulted Clarkson into the spotlight and secured her a contract with RCA Records 19 Recordings, and 'S Records. From her first appearance her album, she's released several albums. From those, three were ranked first on the US Billboard 200. The other albums were also near the top. She has been one of America's top performers. When she was successful, she experimented with different genres and themes, frequently writing her own songs of her own feelings. Due to her distinctiveness and talent as a performer her work was recognized by the media and received a number of important award. Her most notable achievement is that she won 3 Grammy awards. In addition, she has appeared on television and films. She also wrote the book for children River Rose and the Magical Lullaby as well as been a part of several charities.
