Harry Edward Styles or Harry Styles as he is known in the world of pop music is an British singing and composing. Harry Styles belongs to the band One Direction. In Holmes Chapel in Cheshire England Styles is the son of Des Styles & Anne Cox. Harry Styles studied at the Holmes Chapel Comprehensive School, in which he started his own band, composed of 3 classmates. The band was named White Eskimo. They were the winners of the Battle of Bands in 2009 with their amazing results. Although he has always been interested in music, despite his passion in it, he also wanted to become a lawyer and an physiotherapist. In order to provide for the family he took some time in a bakery. Harry Styles was selected for The X Factor 2010 audition during which he performed the Stevie Wonder's song Is not She Lovely. This was the reason that his band broke up. Following the audition on The X Factor the jury Nicole Scherzinger suggested that Harry Styles be part of the band to be called One Direction along with Liam Payne Zayn Malik Niall Horan and Louis Tomlinson. The group's creation took place in the year 2010, and the five members were supported by Simon Cowell. In the contest, the group sang songs such as My Life Would Suck Without You by Kelly Clarkson and Total Eclipse of the Heart from Bonnie Tyler so the group were among the hopefuls to win the contest. The group was however placed third behind Rebecca Ferguson, and the winner Matt Cardle. Harry Styles' group didn't take home the prize, however Cowell nevertheless paid two million dollars for One Direction for them to sign a deal with Syco.
