
Suzanne Pleshette was an American actress, voice, and film actor. She lived from January 31st, 1937, until January 19, 2008. Pleshette began her career in theatre. She was in films towards the end of the 1950s. In later years, she was an important actor in films like Rome Adventure (1962), Alfred Hitchcock's The Birds (633) and Spirited Away (11). From 1972 to 1978, Pleshette was a frequent guest in a variety of television shows. She also was the character Emily Hartley, which earned numerous Emmy Award nominations. Pleshette was born on January 31 1937 in the New York City neighborhood of Brooklyn Heights, to Geraldine (nee Kaplan)[1] and Eugene Pleshette. The parents of her were Jewish as were the children of emigrants from Russia and Austria-Hungary.Her mother was an artist and dancer who performed on stage under the name Geraldine Rivers. Her father was stage manager at the Paramount Theater in Manhattan and also of the Paramount Theater in Brooklyn,
